Project Summary: This project successfully delivered a new skimmer-type swimming pool for Buddo Junior School. The project provides students with a safe and engaging aquatic environment, promoting physical activity, water safety education, and recreational enjoyment. Project Goals:

• Design and construct a high-quality skimmer-type swimming pool that adheres to safety regulations for school swimming pools.
• Create a designated space for swimming instruction, water-based activities, and recreational swimming within the school curriculum.

Project Scope:

• Site Assessment: A comprehensive evaluation of the designated pool area was conducted to determine feasibility, optimal pool size and shape, and any potential construction challenges specific to a school setting.
• Design and Planning: Detailed plans were developed in collaboration with Buddo Junior School, considering factors like desired size, depth variations, competition lanes (if applicable), entry points (stairs or ladders), and strict adherence to Ugandan safety regulations for school swimming pools.
• Material Selection: Durable and easy-to-maintain materials were chosen for pool construction, considering local weather conditions, aesthetics, and suitability for heavy student use.
• Pool Construction: Skilled professionals constructed the skimmer-type pool, ensuring adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and specific requirements for school swimming pools.
• Skimmer Installation: Strategically placed skimmer boxes were installed along the pool walls for efficient surface debris removal.
• Filtration System Installation: A high-quality pool filtration system, sized appropriately for student usage, was installed to maintain clean and clear pool water.
